Ready to Ship Quilts
Maine Quilter has a large selection of handmade quilts ready to ship to you. These range in size from small wall hangings and table toppers to queen size bed quilts.

Twizzlers Make Me Smile 65" x 77" $260 This is a pattern I have really enjoyed, so much, in fact, that I have made it 3 times. One was a gift, one was a donation to Hospice, and this is available.

Let's Catch Some Rays 36" Round $75 This was one of a series of mandala quilts. In each of the rays is a different hand applied embellishment.

Out of Africa 63" x 65" $205 The colorful textiles in this quilt were swatches I had ordered from Africa about 25 years ago. I had been waiting for the right idea and, once I realized that simple would be better, this was the result.

Trickle Down 42" x 55" $115 This pattern reminds me of the icemelt dripping down the massive rocks in Maine.

Falling, Yes I'm Falling 57" x 69" $200 This pattern is a "tumbling blocks" pattern that creates a wonderful 3-D effect. The title is from a Beatles song.

Mountain Reflections 32" x 47" $100 This is the most complicated bargello style quilt I've done. I discovered that, while the result is stunning, the process was daunting. From there, I moved on to other styles of quiltmaking.

Oh, Oh Freedom 30' x 27" $50 This is one of a series of quilts, representing places I would love to visit. I finally made a trip to Africa in 2022.

Mom's Irish Chain 28" x 35" $50 I made this quilt for my mother. She had it hanging in her bedroom until her passing. The textiles are muted and very traditional, suiting her style.

Been Forty Years in the Desert 38" x 23" $50 Another of the African quilts.

Purt' Near, Not Plum 39" x 27" $55 This was another quilt for the guild's solids challenge.

Crack of Dawn 39" x 28" $55 During my year of doing early morning newspaper delivery, I loved watching the world wake up. Many quilts were inspired by my paper route, this being one of them.

Pandemic 4: Not All Who Wander Are Lost 59" x 69" $245 This quilt has hundreds of half square triangles arranged in a "trip around the world" pattern. It brought to mind the Emerald City in the Wizard of Oz, and Bilbo's and Frodo's journeys in the Hobbit series.

Serengeti Sunrise 52" x 42" $130 Another Africa-themed quilt and one of my husband's favorites.

Tierra del Fuego 41" x 22" $55 After reading "The Longest Walk" I longed to see Tierra del Fuego at the very southernmost tip of South America. When I went to Antarctica in 2019, I was able to spend part of a day walking around Tiera del Fuego before our expedition ship sailed. The day was cold, damp, and snowy, unlike the summer depicted in my quilt.

Kingfishers and Dragonflies 38" x 38" $200 This quilt was hand pieced and hand quilted and is embellished with a hand beaded raised applique of a kingfisher perched on a branch of beads and watching embroidered appliqued dragonflies.

Southwestern Sunrise $45 This was part of a massive installation consisting of several quilts that were interwoven. Since I dismantled the piece, the many of the quilt participants have found new life elsewhere on their own.

Practicing Creation 35" x 35" $70 This was done as a prototype for another quilt I was planning for a quilt challenge. I like this one better.

Garden Orbs 32" x 39" $75 This is the quilt I created for a Hoffman International (textile company) challenge. It was selected to travel around the country for a year as part of a trunk show.

SOLD Spiral Spectrum 31" Round $45 This was created for a guild challenge to create a quilt using only solids. The outer end of the spiral is finished with black beads.

The Plans They Made 42" x 22" $60 This is one of a series created for an art exhibit for the 100th anniversary of flight. There was an exhibit each year for several years, each with its own theme. This year it was "Roll, Pitch, and Yaw".

Pandemic 2: Yes, We're Going to a Party Party 72" x 87" $375 When the pandemic shut everything down, I had several projects in queue and began making my way through them. I love the exuberance of this with its brilliant colors.

Botticelli's Birth of Venus 42 " x 27" $75 This was done for a guild challenge to use shells. My pet title is "Nude on the Half Shell".

Former Self With Mere Shadows 38" x 41" $100 I created this quilt after a dream in which I was building quilts as pieces of each other, working on 3-D effects.

We're Not in Kansas Anymore 45" x 45" $150 I began this quilt while waiting for a hurricane to make landfall in Wilmington, NC. I didn't finish it before the lights went out but it was waiting for me when they came back on, and I'm happy to say that the house and studio remained intact, unlike several others in the neighborhood.

In the Beginning 50" x 50" $150 This was my imagining of what it would have been like at the "big bang", my creation quilt. Around the outer yellow strips I have written in the Genesis story of the creation.
